How do I stay in the loop ?
I have subscribed and unsubscribed to dozens of newsletters in the last 7 years, keeping only the best.

Tl; DR : Newsletters. A ton of them.
In 2017, as a young graduate entering the professional world, I was eager to learn as much as I could about my job (product manager), my industry (tech) and various other interests. I have subscribed and unsubscribed to dozens of newsletters in the last 7 years, keeping only the best. My rule is to keep only those I would consistently read because they brought something insightful that I would not find somewhere else.
Sometimes, friends or colleagues ask me how I stay on top of all the topics that interest me or tech news. After having done the list several times, I decided to share this list in the hopes it helps someone else.
To stay on top of new, I have a strong preference for email newsletters because their content is standardized, delivered regularly and I get to keep it in my inbox even if I unsubscribe later. It is the millennial version of the pile of newspapers and magazines, without taking too much room into my flat.
For 12 years I used to be on twitter a lot, but recent changes and sheer quantity of content made me reconsider it as my main source of information. As to reading news directly from the websites, it is usually not curated enough. I prefer content that is focused and calibrated to my taste.
Some of the content is not free. When I subscribe it is either because the content is behind a paywall or that I really like the content creator and I want them to keep writing.
News
Learning about what is happening in the world without sacrificing too much of my mental health
The Morning Briefing, Europe edition πΈ ποΈ πΊπΈ - New York Times
It is practically one of the first things I read after waking up. It helps me maintain my english and tends to have only share the most important news in Europe when french media will post dozens of articles on the latest controversy.
Tech
All things startup, big tech and innovation. In the world and closer to home (πͺπΊ/π«π·).
Benedict's Newsletter πΈ/π 1οΈβ£ π¬π§
Usually sent on Sunday or Monday. I never miss any issue of this newsletter. You get a comprehensive look on what happened lately. With decades of experience in the tech sector, Benedict is rarely impressed and he makes that fact know with a delightful touch of British humour. He also has a podcast.
TL,DR π ποΈ πΊπΈ
Efficient. About 15 links and summaries. It's factual and a good way to know what the latest tech news cycle is about. It also links to Github repos and tools. Sometimes references other newsletters listed here like Benedict's or Stratechery.
